Summit Pointe Realty, LLC presented an update on Phase One and Two development at Chesapeake’s State of the City 2019 event on Tuesday, April 30.
Chris Williams, Vice President of Portfolio Management of Dollar Tree, Inc. presented at the event on behalf of Summit Pointe Realty, LLC. Williams’ presentation included a video recap of the development progress made in Phase One and Phase Two of the overall development at Summit Pointe.
Phase One of Summit Pointe development was completed in October 2018 with the delivery and occupancy of the iconic high-rise office tower for Dollar Tree, Inc. The tower and surrounding Dollar Tree, Inc. campus are comprised of 510,000 square feet of state-of-the-art workspace and have the capacity to serve 2,300 employees. Phase One development also included a network of streets, sidewalks and underground utilities for the first four blocks of new development and the construction of a 1,500-car parking deck which will serve both Dollar Tree employees and future residents of the apartment complexes coming to Summit Pointe.
Phase Two of development at Summit Pointe is currently underway. Construction is currently in progress on the Helix residential community and construction will start in May on the 555 Belaire office building.
Helix will be Summit Pointe’s first residential community. The apartments, which will sit atop upscale first-floor retail and restaurant spaces, will contain 133 modern units with access to covered parking, stunning views of Belaire Avenue, and community amenities available to residents. 555 Belaire will be the first office building built in Phase Two at Summit Pointe.
